Reliving the Fun of the Second Annual Walk and Roll with IAHD September 15, 2025
On September 13, IAHD held its second annual Walk and Roll with IAHD. Our community walk event focuses on spending time with friends– new and old– advocacy for the disability community and getting outside! The event was held at Pierson Park in Tarrytown, NY, on a Saturday morning, and it was a beautiful sunny day to walk along the Hudson River Walk. Over 150 people attended the walk, including the people supported by IAHD, their families, others at their residence, staff, board members, various vendors, and even some new members of the IAHD community!
All participants had the opportunity to fill out a complimentary raffle ticket– with the opportunity to buy more the day of– for the chance to win prizes like free admission to the Crayola Factory, a Coach purse, New York Mets tickets, free SoJo Spa Club passes, and much more! There were some healthy granola bars and fruit to help participants have enough energy to enjoy the walk they had ahead of them. Our walkers and rollers were able to rep IAHD on the path by wearing their choice of either a pin, bracelet, or lanyard.

This day would not have been made possible without the support of our extremely generous sponsors: EMA2, Cigna Healthcare, First Aid Cooling & Heating Co, Friedlander, Heritage Property Enhancements, Windsor Management, the Winik Family, AHRC NYC, Signore & Sons Plumbing Corp, Station MD, Allure Specialty Pharmacy, the Silverman family, Drain Klee Sewer Service Inc, My25, The Gritta Family, the Gordon-Johnson family, the Marino family, the Siegel family. All money raised was put towards the IAHD Foundation.

We also want to thank our in-kind donors including Gorjana, Fire Systems Inc, GourmetGiftBaskets.com, the Crayola Factory experience, SoJo Spa Club, DiCicco and Sons supermarket, Trader Joe’s, the NY Mets, the NY Knicks, Chipotle, and Coach.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s Walk and Roll! We hope all who attended had fun, and we hope to see even more members of the IAHD community at next year’s walk!
