Feeling Thankful at IAHD November 28, 2025
Earlier in the month, individuals and staff at our Tarrytown program collaborated on an art project to create a Tree of Gratitude, in which they wrote what they were thankful for on leaves that came together to make a beautiful autumn tree for all to see.

IAHD continued its tradition saying thank you to our day habilitation staff with special catered lunches at each day program. Throughout the week prior to Thanksgiving, IAHD Board and Cabinet members visited our Bainbridge, St. Mary’s, and Tarrytown programs to serve staff a hearty Thanksgiving meal!

Thank you to IAHD Board Chair, Matt Kiamie, and IAHD Board Member, Paddy Reynolds, for joining the IAHD cabinet in serving the amazing IAHD staff on these days of gratitude.
We want to thank IAHD Board Vice Chairperson, Jeff Winik, for continually supporting IAHD to make these lunches possible, Stew Leonard’s for donating turkeys to be raffled off to staff at each lunch, and to Trooper Foods for donating turkeys and pies to all IAHD day programs AND residences! We are extremely grateful for your continued support!
Additionally, M&M Cleaning Services catered lunch for Bainbridge staff the day before Thanksgiving; thank you Marvin and the rest of the M&M team for your thoughtfulness!

Many of our IAHD residences had their own Thanksgiving dinners on the 27th itself, during which individuals and staff shared their delicious looking dishes and feelings of gratitude with one another.

We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! We are very thankful for the entire IAHD community and their unwavering support in our mission!
