It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superhero Day at IAHD! April 30, 2024

On April 29, our IAHD day programs celebrated National Superhero Day! While there were many dressed up as Spiderman and Batman at Bainbridge, Tarrytown, and St. Mary’s, the day was meant to highlight the fact that you don’t necessarily have to be a comic book character to be considered a superhero; we can all be heroes in our day-to-day lives in the way we choose to live and help others!
Today was also a day to remember a member of the IAHD community, the late Superhero Sammy, pictured on the left.
🐦 These are just a few of the people at Bainbridge who revealed their super alter-egos with us!

🛩️ Residents from our Leland and Ryer homes also dressed up in graphic tees showing off their favorite heroic character(s).

Remember: You don’t have to be Superman or Wonder Woman to have a positive impact on the lives of others!
