At the end of October, one of our IAHD Champions attended the annual SANYS statewide multi-day conference in Albany. Jodi, member of the IAHD Board of Directors, SANYS NYC/Westchester regional Self Advocate of the Year, and IAHD Champions secretary attended her first conference in Albany since becoming a self-advocate. This year’s conference theme was about lifting everyone’s voices, something Jodi does with ease in her multiple leadership roles at IAHD.

Thank you for SANYS for this accessible and exciting opportunity, as well as IAHD staff Kayla, Amanda, and Camille for their help in figuring out logistics for this trip to happen and for attending the conference with Jodi. We look forward to what next year’s conference has in store!
