Fall Fun at IAHD November 10, 2025
IAHD embraced all autumn had to offer by participating in a variety of seasonal activities.
🍎 Apple picking was popular among IAHD residences and day programs. Our Leland home went to Barton’s Orchard for apples, apple cider, and apple cider donuts. Tarrytown day program went to Wilkens Farm, while St. Mary’s went to Stuart’s Farm.

Besides picking apples, St. Mary’s decided to take the fruits they picked and make Cinnamon Apple Puff Pastry Donuts with them! How delicious!

🍂 Other IAHD residences took trips to their local farms but not for apples– they went pumpkin picking!

🧣IAHD hosted and collaborated on a Fall Festival with students from Sleepy Hollow High School and participated in a fun-filled pumpkin painting activity led by IAHD’s Creative Arts Coordinator, Johnny Mattei. All the participants created their personalized pumpkins and were able to take them home to show off just how creative they are. The day ended with a light lunch and some cold and refreshing apple cider. Everyone had an amazing time!
