Walking and Rolling Along the Hudson September 17, 2024

On September 14, IAHD held its first ever Walk and Roll, a community walk event open to all that focused on spending time with friends– new and old– and getting outside! The event was held at Pierson Park on a Saturday morning, a perfect sunny day to walk along part of the Hudson River Walk. Over 100 people attended the walk, including people supported by IAHD, their families, others at their residence, staff, board members, various vendors, and even some new members of the IAHD community.

All participants had the opportunity to fill out a complimentary raffle ticket for the chance to win IAHD goodies and a Trader Joe’s basket. There were some healthy granola bars and fruit to help participants have enough energy to enjoy the walk they had ahead of them. Our walkers and rollers put on an IAHD pin, bracelet, or lanyard to represent the organization along the path.

This day would not have been made possible without the support of our extremely generous donors and sponsors: Station MD, Cigna, EMA2, Allure Specialty Pharmacy, Valley Bank, the Winik Family, 4imprint, and My25. All money raised was put towards the IAHD Foundation.

Thank you to everyone who supported the first ever Walk and Roll community walk! We hope all who attended had fun, and we hope to see even more members of the IAHD Community at next year’s walk!
