Black History Month at IAHD 🪩 February 9, 2025
February is Black History Month, and IAHD held a variety of programs to get our individuals immersed in Black culture.
IAHD’s Tarrytown Day program held a Black History Month showcase, in which participants read the bios of, recited powerful quotes from, and shared the work of many notable Black men and women. Look at the photos and videos below to see what was shared at this event!

Bainbridge took a bit of a different route to honor Black culture and contributions to modern-day society. They turned their first floor into the set of the iconic 1970s dance show, “Soul Train”, complete with disco balls! All who wanted to show off their moves danced and strutted down the red carpet! The entire event was hosted by Ms. Donna Cornelius. Check out these groovy outfits and cool moves in the pictures and videos below!

Thank you to the staff, especially at our Tarrytown and Bainbridge day habs, for their hard work in making these events come together with much success and joy. IAHD hopes everyone had a meaningful and empowering Black History Month!
