Celebrating Black History Month at St. Mary’s February 29, 2024

Throughout February, IAHD’s St. Mary’s Day Hab program in the Bronx hosted a variety of events to celebrate Black History Month, including movie screenings and Sip & Paint sessions. Their month of honoring Black history and culture came to a conclusion with their Black History Museum, in which staff transformed each room of the building into exhibits that each highlights one of the many aspects of Black excellence from the past few centuries. See some of the exhibits in the gallery below, as well as photos from the official tour that staff led St. Mary’s program participants on!

Thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s for their hard work in making these beautiful displays. and we hope everyone had a meaningful and empowering Black History Month!
