Celebrating Black History Month at IAHD February 20, 2026

In the month of February, the IAHD day programs did a variety of activities in honor of Black History Month. Some of these activities are featured below!

Our Tarrytown artists made art pieces with well-known Black men and women on colorful backgrounds.

At the end of February, each classroom at Tarrytown selected a prominent Black individual and shared a bit about them and what makes them notable in their field or overall. In the photo on the left, Danny is sharing about Harriet Tubman on behalf of his classroom.

We also highlighted two of the many incredible Black people we support at IAHD on our social media. Click on the links to see our posts about Dmitrie and Carrolynne!
